Google NYC Campus
Explore our NYC Campuses
Google’s New York campus consists of eight buildings across the Chelsea and SOHO neighborhoods, each with its own rich architectural and cultural legacies. In their past lives, our workplaces did everything from ship goods across the globe (Pier 57), manufacture and distribute cookies (Chelsea Market & 85 10th Ave), and act as headquarters for the New York Port Authority (111 8th Ave), to providing the terminus for the elevated railroad that later became the Highline (550 Washington).
The city's tenacity fosters innovation, leading to various product launches and features like audiobooks on Google Play and VR tours. As an anchor site for Area 120, it hosts unique programs, including apprenticeships and Tech Days, with a focus on PM, UX, and SWE communities. Additionally, the first Google Retail store and the revitalization of Pier 57 contribute to the Google Chelsea campus.
Google NYC is a diverse and vibrant hub representing 70+ countries, 50+ languages, and 400+ universities. Comprising 64% Tech, 23% GBO, and 13% GAF, it serves as a launchpad for testing and scaling company-wide products. The site is deeply involved in the community, with Google.org investing in local education and pandemic response. The culture emphasizes togetherness, featuring programs like Project Foster and a thriving creative community, making it a dynamic and impactful Google location expected to double in size over the next decade.
